Spectacular Black Sea Highlands Photography Tour, 2-7 June 2022

Black Sea Highlands... Where the sky and the green meet and you can touch the clouds. Literally! Many local photographers have been thrilled by Black Sea highlands' treasures for many years, but foreign photographers have yet to truly discover them. Now is your chance to take this opportunity with me before everyone else does. Suitable for photographers/travellers of all levels.

Day 1

We will meet at Trabzon Airport (TZX) Arrivals Hall and depart for our hotel in the heart of Pokut Plateau.

Our first photo spot is Pokut Plateau located at an altitude of 2,000 m, where we will capture the stunning sunset over the mountains.

Day 2

We will start our day with a sunrise photography session in Pokut Plateau and finish the day with a sunset photography session in Sal Plateau. Both locations offer a unique sight: A sea of clouds! Unfortunately, walking on the clouds is not permitted :)

Day 2

Day 3

We will be capturing another spectacular sunrise at Pokut Plateau and then move to Trovit Plateau at end the day for our sunset photography session.

Day 3

Day 4

Another day, another sunrise. We will be photographing one of the hidden gems of Black Sea highlands, Çiçekli Plateau at sunrise.

During the day, we will be photographing another hidden gem in the nearby Başköy village, Delikli Kaya Waterfall. This 7 metre-high waterfall is also known as "the ring of the forest" as it flows through a 4 metre-diameter hollow in the rock.

Our next stop is going to be Çeçeva Village with its famous tea plantations presenting unique photo opportunities. One of the most fascinating things about Turkey is its people's passion for tea. Turkey is one of the top five tea-growing countries in the world and this region produces 85% of tea in Turkey. Amazingly, more than half of that tea is drunk by the Turks. As a result, Turkey regularly ranks as one of the highest per capita tea consumers in the world.

Day 4

Day 5

One of the hidden paradises of Black Sea highlands is Karagöl National Park in Borçka. Karagöl, literally meaning Black Lake, surrounded by thousands of trees offers all shades of green in spring and summer and all shades of yellow, orange and red in autumn.

Our next photography location is Heba, another timeless plateau over 2,000 m in Black Sea highlands that will take your breath away at sunset.
