The Magnificent Dolomites Photography Tour, October 2022

You've never seen anything like this before! The magnificent Dolomites prove there's every reason to be excited to pack your bags and travel again. Suitable for photographers/travellers of all levels.

Day 1

We will meet at Milan Airport Arrivals Hall and depart to Compaccio, Alpe di Siusi, the heart of the Dolomites, Europe's largest mountain plateau. After about four hours of travel, we settle into our hotel.

Day 2

At sunrise, we will photograph the most important mountain group of the Dolomites, the Sassolungo, in all its glory.

Free time after breakfast.

In the afternoon, we will move on to Val di Funes, indisputably the most photogenic area of the Dolomites, and check into our hotel. At sunset, we will photograph the most beautiful view you will ever see, Odle mountain range.

Day 2

Day 3

Sunrise is again in Val di Funes, but this time in a different spot. We will capture the Church of San Giovanni, leaning on the Odle mountain group.

Free time after breakfast.

In the afternoon we will depart for South Tyrol for the sunset in San Genesio Village to photograph the Santa Barbara Church at La Valle.

Day 3

Day 4

After the sunrise at another point in San Genesio Village in South Tyrol, we will return to our hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, we will set out for Lago di Braies, at an altitude of 1,496 meters, where Domenico Zappaterreno says, "When you see Lake Braies, it's hard to believe that heaven is more beautiful than earth".

Day 5

We will photograph Lago di Braies, one of Italy's most photogenic lakes, at sunrise. We will then depart for the airport after breakfast.

  - 1,800 Euros per person twin share including meals.

What to Bring

 Clothing: 
  - Waterproof and windproof jacket and pants.
  - Waterproof boots/shoes.
  - Layers of thin clothing rather than one thick layer.
  - Casual clothes for meals and Photoshop sessions.
Photography Equipment:
  - A DSLR or a mirrorless camera or a smart phone.
  - 14-24 mm, 24-70 mm and/or 70-200 mm lens.
  - Tripod.
  - Polarized filters and/or ND filters.
  - Extra batteries, charger, memory card.
